Job Overview
As a member of the Hotel Maintenance Staff at [Hotel Name], you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel's facilities. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing guest requests for repairs, and maintaining the overall functionality and safety of the property.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and implement repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure the longevity of equipment.
- Guest Room Repairs:
- Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs and maintenance issues in their rooms.
- Ensure all guest rooms are in working order, including lights, fixtures, air conditioning, and plumbing.
- Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and communicate with the front desk and housekeeping staff.
- Public Areas and Facilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of public areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Perform regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Address maintenance needs in common areas, including fitness centers, pools, and conference rooms.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and building codes.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and compliance with safety regulations.
- Inventory and Supplies:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Order necessary materials and parts in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and equipment.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other hotel staff to prioritize and address maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand and resolve their maintenance concerns.
- Provide support for special projects and renovations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance or related fields preferred.
- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
