Job Overview
As a Front Desk Agent at Boardwalk Suites, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. You will manage day-to-day interactions, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. Your primary responsibilities will include handling guest reservations, managing phone inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, efficient check-in experience.
- Ensure accurate and timely check-out processes, handling any billing inquiries and payments.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Reservations Management:
- Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems.
- Confirm and modify reservations as needed, ensuring accurate records in the hotel management system.
- Upsell rooms and services to maximize revenue.
- Phone and Guest Communication:
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and redirecting calls as necessary.
- Respond to guest requests and concerns, providing solutions or escalating issues to the appropriate department.
- Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and offering assistance.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage daily front desk operations, including maintaining an organized workspace and updating guest information.
- Process payments, issue room keys, and manage the safe deposit box and other valuables.
- Prepare reports and perform night audit duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficient in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
